Attend the Birth Equity Symposium at the Blue Door Neighborhood CenterSM

Join us in October at our BDNCSM locations for a Birth Equity Symposium to bring awareness to maternal and infant health disparities. Register here for all dates and times.

  • On Saturday, Oct. 4, from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., the BDNC at Morgan Park is collaborating with Monarch Awards Foundation to host a forum highlighting women’s health topics, from preconception to perimenopause and beyond. 

  • On Tuesday, Oct. 14, from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Morgan Park location will host a half-day conference to explore family-centered approaches in maternal health. Topics include the important roles of fathers, partners and caregivers in the birthing journey.  

  • On Monday, Oct. 20, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at Pullman, the BDNC is collaborating with community psychologist Obrari Cartman, PhD, for a powerful conversation on the role of men in family and in the community. 

  • On Saturday, Oct. 18, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at South Lawndale and on Saturday, Oct. 25, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Morgan Park, BDNC will host a family day resource fair. The fair will include workshops, fitness demonstrations, community resources and children’s activities.
